“GIARDINO” to Launch New Sauce Varieties, 80% Designated for Export
Competition Drives Innovation and Enhances the Quality of Egyptian Products Locally and Globally
Upper Egypt Company for Concentrates and Juices “GIARDINO” intends to launch new varieties of high-quality sauces, with 80% designated for export markets and the remaining percentage for the domestic market.
Gamal Arif, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Upper Egypt Company for Concentrates and Juices “GIARDINO”, stated that the company is preparing to launch a new package of products, particularly sauces, during the current year, with 80% of them allocated for export. He indicated that expanding the product range requires increasing production capacity to ensure sustainability. The company seeks to provide the latest global technologies to ensure the highest operational efficiency, conserve energy, and reduce waste, in compliance with environmental requirements and to lower production costs.

He explained that the company is preparing to pump new investments during the current year, directly from shareholders, to reduce the cost of borrowing burdens in the company’s budget in the upcoming period. It is possible to borrow part of the new investments, while maintaining a balance between loan installments, their interest, and achieving profits.
We Aim to Leverage Brand Strength and Boost Our Presence in Various Export Markets
He emphasized that the company’s strength stems from a solid foundation based on production using 100% pure natural ingredients, full commitment to the highest quality standards, and providing the best customer service. This ensures maintaining consumer trust and distinction in the market, which has made consumers grant our products continuous trust, even during times that witnessed significant shifts in competition, purchasing methods, and market trends.
He pointed out that the future still holds broad opportunities for growth, both within the domestic market and in the international markets targeted by the company with comprehensive expansion plans over the next two years.
Arif affirmed that the increasing intensity of competition in the Egyptian concentrates and sauces market leads to raising product quality and enhancing services provided to its customers, saying: “Competition generally stimulates companies to search for new customers and open new export markets.”
EGP 700 million in total sales for 2025, with exports accounting for 30%
He clarified that “GIARDINO” always seeks to benefit from the strength of its brand by enhancing its presence in the export markets where it operates and searching for new customers and markets, leveraging the competitive advantages enjoyed by its products. This is especially true since most of “GIARDINO” products are of agricultural origin, which forms a stable basis for innovation by working to add value to the Egyptian product before export.
He stressed that the Egyptian National Food Safety Authority has played a significant role recently in advancing the Egyptian industry and preserving the reputation of the Egyptian product in global markets, under a strict regulatory system that adheres to quality standards for products whether offered in the local market or prepared for export. This has reinforced consumers’ confidence in Egyptian products.
He added, “Egyptian companies operating in the food sector, especially those that export their products, continuously work to improve the quality of their products to comply with the highest regulatory standards in various countries. The steady growth in the volume of Egyptian food sector exports demonstrates the quality of the Egyptian product.”
Regarding the extent of attention to innovation in the products offered by his company, the Chairman explained that “GIARDINO” is interested in innovation and keeping up with the latest developments in the global industry. Climate changes and rising temperatures in Egypt require continuous updates in agricultural production methods.
Regarding his company’s 2025 results, he revealed that GIARDINO achieved strong sales last year, with total sales reaching EGP 700 million, supported by an annual production of up to 23,000 tons of its various products. He noted that the export share represents about 30% of total sales, equivalent to EGP 224 million, reflecting the company’s success in expanding into foreign markets.
Company’s Products Reach 25 Markets Worldwide with a Diverse Portfolio
He confirmed that African markets remain among the most important growth drivers for the company, as it has achieved widespread presence in countries such as Sudan and Niger, despite some challenges that necessitated rearranging export priorities and turning to alternative markets like Libya and West African countries to compensate for any potential decline in some regions. He also pointed out that the company is working to penetrate European and American markets as part of a sustainable expansion plan ensuring an increasing global presence for the Egyptian product.
Arif mentioned that GIARDINO products have reached a large number of countries around the world since the start of its activity until now, amounting to 25 countries, including Yemen, Palestine, Sudan, Burundi, Cuba, Tanzania, Tunisia, Djibouti, Rwanda, Greece, Germany, Ukraine, England, Brazil, Morocco, Libya, Chad, Zambia, Romania, Poland, Maldives, and Mauritius. This reflects the international spread of the brand and its ability to meet the needs of diverse markets.
He explained that the company’s portfolio includes several strong brands, such as GIARDINO, Salstk, Nardino, Risa, and Passco, which provides product diversity and enhances the company’s ability to compete in both local and international markets.
