PIRO SPATHIS” Considers Granting Franchise Rights for Its Brand to Manufacturers in the Gulf Countries

"Yousef Talaat": The company plans to double its production capacity and launch new products in 2025

Mymco for Food, the owner of the Spiro Spathis brand, is considering granting franchise rights to manufacturers in the Gulf countries due to the significant growth the company has experienced in recent years. Youssef Talaat, the managing director and commercial partner of Mymco, explained that the company, founded in 1920, saw a historic transformation last year, with sales increasing by over 350%. This surge in demand, both locally and globally, has led the board to explore granting franchise rights to Gulf-based manufacturers, aiming to meet local demand and create an export base for neighboring countries. The company already exports to several countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Libya, Oman, Kuwait, Jordan, and Qatar.

Talaat added that, as a leader in Egypt’s carbonated beverage industry, the company aims to double its sales this year following last year’s remarkable growth. The company also plans to introduce new products, including cola-flavored drinks, and expand its export markets.

The company’s production capacity has grown to the largest among local Egyptian companies, following the activation of a new production line earlier this month. The new factory aims to produce about 400 million bottles annually, with plans to double this capacity within the next three years by adding more production lines.

Additionally, the company plans to expand its workforce and increase the number of distribution vehicles across all governorates. The number of distribution vehicles has grown from one in 2020 to 60, with plans to double this number soon. Talaat attributed the significant sales increase to the public’s shift towards Spiro Spathis due to the boycott of foreign products supporting the war on Gaza. The company has become a preferred alternative due to its high quality, and it continues to focus on maintaining customer loyalty through the introduction of new products and maintaining high standards..
