SUBJECT: KHS brings resource-efficient beverage production and packaging solutions to Dubai
*Innoplant connects early investment planning with factory engineering and utility requirements, alongside established solutions for primary and secondary packaging.
KHS, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of filling and packaging systems for the beverage and liquid food industries, will present its approach to resource-efficient production and packaging at Gulfood Manufacturing in Dubai from 3 to 5 November 2026.
Headquartered in Dortmund, Germany, KHS supplies individual machines, integrated turnkey filling and packaging lines, complemented by services that support customers throughout the entire lifecycle, from planning and engineering to installation and ongoing operation.
At the exhibition, KHS will introduce its consultancy and engineering offering, KHS Innoplant, to trade visitors for the very first time. It will also highlight Plasmax for primary packaging and Nature MultiPack for secondary packaging. Manufacturers and investors from the UAE and wider region can meet KHS representatives in Hall 3, Stand B3-4.
Resource planning starts before production
For beverage manufacturers, decisions about capacity, factory layout, utility supply and packaging influence operating requirements and the ability to respond to market demand.
Innoplant expands KHS’s consultancy and planning portfolio by engaging customers earlier in the investment process, before equipment decisions are made. It is aimed at established beverage producers and new market entrants planning greenfield projects in segments including water, carbonated soft drinks, juices and ready-to-drink beverages.

From investment requirements to implementation
The Innoplant process comprises four stages: strategic consultancy and master planning; detailed project design and utility planning; turnkey implementation and commissioning at the customer’s request; and ongoing life cycle support.
During the first stage, project requirements are translated into concrete capacity, space, logistics and utility requirements as well as CAPEX and OPEX calculations, providing a sound basis for investment and financing decisions.
Planning then extends beyond the filling line to consider building dimensions, traffic areas, internal logistics, energy supply and connections to regional infrastructure. Depending on the project, utility concepts can incorporate technologies such as heat pumps, photovoltaics or biomass systems.
Following commissioning, support can include on-site personnel training and process optimization during ongoing production.
Flexible solutions and system openness
KHS emphasizes flexible, integrated turnkey line solutions tailored to the customer’s business model and operating requirements. Innoplant’s open-system approach allows partner expertise to be incorporated where it provides the most suitable technical or economic solution.

Reducing secondary packaging material
Nature MultiPack is KHS’s secondary packaging solution for grouping PET bottles or beverage cans into multipacks using small dots of adhesive instead of conventional shrink film.
This can reduce the amount of secondary packaging material required by up to 85% compared with systems that use cardboard, while allowing consumers to easily separate the containers. A cardboard carrying handle is also available for both PET bottle and can packs.
Protecting beverages inside the bottle
For enhanced product protection, KHS offers its Plasmax barrier technology for PET bottles. It applies an extremely thin, transparent glass coating to the inner surface of PET bottles, helping protect beverages against oxidation and carbon dioxide loss.
This supports the preservation of taste, colour and quality and can extend product shelf life.
