Egyptian Food Export Council Participates in Gulfood Manufacturing with 20 Diverse Companies
"Khairy": Commitment to Food Safety Requirements is Behind the Growth of the Production Inputs, Flavor, and Aroma Enhancers Sector
The Egyptian Food Export Council is participating in the 11th session of the Gulfood Manufacturing exhibition, scheduled to be held from November 4 to 6, 2025, with approximately 20 companies specializing in concentrates, flavor and aroma enhancers, and the basic raw materials used in food manufacturing.
May Khairy, Executive Director of the Export Council for Food Industries, stated that 20 Egyptian food companies will participate in the tenth session of the Gulfood Manufacturing exhibition, set to take place in Dubai from November 4 to 6. The Egyptian pavilion will include a diverse range of sectors, such as the production of concentrates, flavor and aroma enhancers, oils, starch extracts, and other products used in manufacturing all types of food.
She explained that the organization of the Egyptian participation is in cooperation with the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, the Egyptian Commercial Representation Service and its office in Dubai, in addition to Konzept, the Council’s technical Advisor. Importers from various countries attending the exhibition have been invited to visit the Egyptian companies and explore potential cooperation opportunities.
The Executive Director of the Food Export Council emphasized that companies working in the food production inputs sector have developed significantly in recent years and are competing strongly in both local and international markets, thanks to their commitment to international food safety requirements and standards. She noted that enhancing the culture of food safety and applying international standards in agricultural and industrial value chains are fundamental pillars for increasing the global competitiveness of Egyptian products.
She praised the decision to make it mandatory for exporting companies to register with the Egyptian National Food Safety Authority, which boosts international markets’ confidence in Egyptian products and highlights the presence of an Egyptian regulatory body recognized internationally.
She stressed that the Council’s strategy is based on promoting the presence of Egyptian products in global markets and opening new markets through several methods, primarily participation in specialized international exhibitions that target specific geographical regions based on the existing opportunities for Egyptian products, in addition to trade missions, which are one of the fundamental pillars the Council relies on to promote Egyptian products.
The Executive Director of the Food Export Council stated that the Council provides many collective and individual services to its members to advance the sector’s exports by enhancing production and export capabilities, solving problems facing companies, in addition to holding seminars, workshops, and training courses on all export logistics.
